Report of the Working Group on Litigants in Person
A Working Group was established to consider the challenges associated with litigants in person (“LIPs”) participating in proceedings. Those challenges may be experienced by a LIP, other parties to the litigation, the judiciary and/or the staff of the Courts Service. The Working Group has completed a report and made recommendations designed to address those challenges, following consultation with the judiciary.
Guidelines for Judges - The use of Generative Artificial Intelligence
A judicial committee established by the Chief Justice has prepared guidelines for judges in relation to the use of AI. It is important to acknowledge that this guideline document should be seen as an evolving document which will be updated on an ongoing basis to reflect the latest developments in GenAI technology and its applications. In circulating the guidelines to judges, the Chief Justice stated that they will serve as a valuable resource as judges navigate the evolving landscape of generative AI in their judicial work.
