The 12th Anglophone-Germanophone Judicial Conference for International Family Law was hosted, online, by the Judicial Council in Ireland. Draft Personal Injuries Guidelines: The Personal Injuries Guidelines Committee has submitted to the Board of the Judicial Council the first draft of personal injuries guidelines prepared by the Committee pursuant to Section 18 (4), as amended, of the Judicial Council Act 2019.
09 December 2020Statement, Report and Appendices - Review By Ms Justice Denham
The key functions of the Judicial Council include promoting and maintaining public confidence in the judiciary and the administration of justice. In light of the exceptional circumstances of the particular situation considered in the Review, and given public concern, the Board of the Judicial Council decided to give an indemnity to Ms Justice Denham in respect of her work in carrying out the Review in relation to her legal expenses and any litigation which may ensue.
01 October 2020Business of all Statutory Committees commenced
The functions of the Judicial Council will be realised through a number of statutory Committees. The first meetings of the final Committees to be established were held on the 27th and 28th of July 2020 and marked the completion of this first phase in the development of the Council. All of the Committees have met their respective statutory deadlines for establishment and first meetings.
